Engine shuts off when stopping
Hi,
I amnew to the forum and I would like to ask you for the following problem I have been experiencing in the last month. I have a 2001 Deville. The problem is that frequently (2 times a day) when I stop the car at the stop sign or traffic light, the engine shuts off. It's not difficult to turn the engine On again. What is the problem?? I checked the battery cable and did not find them loose. What else should I be looking at?
I would appreciate if you have experience a similar problem or know the solution.

have you seen Close Encounters of the Third Kind ? his truck shuts down at stopping.
starting with the truck on theat movie, we are looking at 1,000+ possibilities, the codes narrow
down to maybe 5 to 10 possibitlies PER CODE.
need the codes. they were put there by the GM Eng to SAVE YOU $$$$$ in diagnostics.

Replace the crankshaft position sensors. there are 2 of them. 1 gray and one black. on the front of the motor, be easier with a lift...the parts are not expensive, wheni worked on the. I only charged an hour to do them...also you may have to use a tech to to learn the new sensors in

my 01 deville does the same thing. i wonder if by anychance the amp and subs have anything to do with it. but i dont get it, it turns off while im driving and the car shuts off and the battery light turns on. throw it in neutral and start if back up and we are good. but what can be the problem?
