Can you adjust windshield wiper arms... I made the mistake of taking my 04 escalade through one of those automatic car washes that have those nylon brushes that start infront of your car and proceeds over your hood and roof. When i got home that evening I notice my wipers weren't completly down and when I turn them on they hit the post area on the drivers side of the windshield. I've tried loosening the nuts holding the arms on and tried removing the arms with no luck am I doing something wrong Help

 

FSM calls for a battery terminal puller to remove wiper arm from shaft. When reinstalling tighten to 22 lb ft. If you can't get it off I am inclined to think that something bent rather than slippage on shaft.
