my 1990 Brougham has a problem with the wiper switch.

I cannot turn the wiper off, while driving.

when I switch the ignition off, while driving, and then on again, it will switch off.

any suggestions ?

Under hood, remove the 2 wiring connections at the wiper motor. Then squeeze the plastic cover on the motor to remove it. Reconnect the wiring plugs. Then have someone turn on the wipers. Spray the mechanism with WD 40. The problem is the rotating cam in the motor gums up and wont rotate enough to signal the switch to OFF. In rare cases the printed circuit board on the motor fails, and years ago you could buy thru GM, just the board, but dont know if still available?
