My wife is having trouble with her 2001 Deville. As soon as she starts the car the wipers come on. The car has rain sensing wipers. No matter what she tries the wipers continue to run. The best she can do is the lowest setting on the intermiddent. This is happening during sunny days. Any ideas? Thanks,

Are you sure it's the rainsense and not the windshield wiper switch itself?

I don't remember, but is there a setting on the stalk to disable rainsense?

If you look on the windshield, is there anything on the surface of the glass over the rainshield sensor?

 

No, I am not sure weather it is the switch or the rain sense. I just went out and checked and I didn't see a switch to disable the rain sense. I will check the windshield if you can tell me where the sensor is. I an guessing somewhere around the mirror. Thanks,
