I have an 05 STS that is giving me some false readings on the fuel guage. One day it will tell you it is full and next it is empty. Does anyone have any experience with this problem???? I was told by a service advisor this could be a fuel level sensor and he also told me it would take $800 to fix it.

I have to believe there is a cheaper repair out there with some aftermaket products but I have not been able to locate any as yet. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
