No belt and froze
Can someone tell me what this is, even if it is the water pump. No belt on it, and doesn't look like one has been on it for awhile as the wheel is very rusted, and I cannot turn it by hand power. The part above it to the right in the picture is the Delco Air conditioning compressor, it says.
if it is the water pump, I'm amazed that after my 3 hour drive the car did not over heat, and my coolant sensor light did not come on... just remembered I switched sensors with my air sensor so maybe I have a bad sensor and no water pump idk. The coolant was low when I bought it a couple of weeks ago, I filled it up and it has not moved. If no water pump then no coolant used?

rickyd, I'm in washington state, not sure about the emissions testing here.
stealth, It's a 79 eldorado 350 5.7 gas, th325 and there are hoses, like mad, running to and from it.
As far as a detriment to the pollution of air goes I think the rusted-out hole, midway down the car, in the exhaust gets first bid for fundage.
Then next on the safety/frozen things list is the bum drivers side front caliper. I've got my hands full with this car, and loving it btw.

At 50+ miles, you are a ways from Seattle which I believe may be the 1st EPA controlled city.
We do have a section for PROJECT CARS and talented photographers are always an asset. You be surprised how many will follow a project.
