No Air Or Heat Comming Out Of Vents
I have a 1996 Cadillac Seville Sts and there is no heat or air comming out of my vents. I called my local dealership and they want $600 to replace the fan blower. How can I test this to make sure it is the fan blower? Where are the fuses for the fan blower and can I test the fuse? Is it easy to install the fan blower? Any help would be greatly apperciated. Thanks

[*]Remove the inertial plate for the new blower motor. IMPORTANT: Re-install two screws with washers to prevent the motor and housing from separating during removal and installation. Leave blower motor in box to reduce the amount of handling of the blower motor.[*]Rotate blower motor so that the flat side is down.[*]Blower motor.[*]Inertial plate. Three 8 mm screws.[*]Blower motor screws. Five 7 mm screws. TIGHTEN [/ol]

Isn't for the blower it is a different type of fuse? How do I test this out? Let me know. Thanks

You said that there was no air coming out of the vents, but did the controls work? You definitely should hear the blower work even if the air diverter doors got stuck. If you don't hear the blower, it' s prolly dead or on the way out. Just to make sure, detach the wire going to the blower motor and spry some electonic contact cleaner into both ends and reseat it. If the motor is kaputt, follow thertruerebel's posting...
