2000 Seville STS Check engine light
I had the check engine light come on the other day and it was running rough, almost like it was choking.
My friend had an odb II scanner and it reported that cylinder # 4 was mis-firing. After finding out the plugs were a poor brand and old, my friend replaced all 8 boots and put in 8 AC Delco platinum plugs. He reset the trouble codes, only to find out both oxygen sensors were failing with a LT FTRM failed errors on Sys1 and Sys2. When he reset it the Sys1 and Sys2 were functioning again and the engine light went off. After starting it up the same errors were reported.
After investigating so far online, I did realize that one spark plug was arcing pretty bad and had warped the boot. I found that maybe the coil is now faulty from what I found online.
My question to you is, where can I find a schematics of the 2000 Seville STS online so I can find out where the #4 cylinder resides in my Cadillac?
I can't seem to find a schematic of the engine to see what 1-2-7-3-4-5-6-8 firing is from the top left if you are looking at the engine. Do you agree that the coil needs replaced ?
