Default Engine Concern

Good Morning everyone, I have difficult decision to make here, I am in the process of purchasing a 2000 deville (DHS). Heres the situation, it has 124K on the motor, now The car has been sitting for about 4 months or so, when i started the car up, their was a little white smoke coming from the exhaust, but as the car idled, it was fine. And then when you start it up again you see a little bit coming out, but never when your driving, could this be due to the fact that the car has been sitting for that long of period. The car doesnt over heat or anything.Any suggestion or pointer i should look for. Thanks Very Much

Hey Royalet: The white smoke could be form water entering the combustion chamber which means a head gasket problem. You could pull the dipstick to see if there is any evidence of water in the oil it will look a little milky if there is. Would deffinately take this car to a mechanic for an inspection before purchase. Hope this helps.

I'm still waking up. Is the color of the smoke white or does it have a blue tint.
