Default '93 MINT w/35,000mi. PAINT probs

My baby was born in '93. It's candy apple red with blinding, flawless white interior.
Mileage is still a newborn at 35,000.
She just had a minor fender bender. The auto body guy said my paint was delaminating aka peeling in certain spots.
He said that Cadillac had a problem during the 90's with paint not adhering to the primer.Anyone hear about this?
Now I've always kept her garaged and I'm worried. I am waiting for my '09 CTS-V which hopefully will arrive within the next few months or more mileage will be put on her.
I want to put her bck into the garage. I was told that the sun might have done this but she's always garaged.
I am concerned and dont know what to do. At this point the situation isn't bad but what to do about this besides a full paint job for $8K????
I plan on keeping her for a long long time.
Shouldnt Cadillac be responsible- well it's GM and I called. Forget them helping me in anyway.
Any thoughts, ideas, solutions. I'm very upset.

I know it has been a LONG time since this was posted, but there is one fact: in the early 1990s, DuPont - who made the paints for most automakers - made a bad paint mix. There was a recall back then, but it was a short time one. Automakers will not honor it any longer, because most cars that were affected were fixed.
