Default Headlight Staying On

Just purchsed a 2005 CTS used, whenever I park the car and shut off the key the headlights stay on until I either open and close the door or shut them off using the switch on the multifunction switch, I have the multifunction switch normally set for auto. Am I missing something?
Thanks for any help. Joe

I was doing some more research and I think there is a 10 minute delay before the headlights go out. I will try your suggestion though. Thanks for the responce. Joe

I think you should be able to go to the settings located within the message screen and adjust the delay or even make it to where they go off when you turn your car off. Try that.

Just inter your “setting” on the LCD screen and change the delay time and other option you prefer …
