The headlight lense was broken out on my 2005 Deville. The dealer said that based on my VIN number the headlight assembly that I needed was the 2nd production style for the year (2005). By trying to save money I called a couple of headlight aftermarket shops. None of them show a 1st and 2nd design for the year (b4 August or after August 2005). In fact, these aftermarket shops claim that their headlight assemblies fit 2000 thru 2005. GM shows a different part number for 2000 thru 2002 than 2003 thru 2005. Does anyone know about this or can you shed some light on aftermarket headlight assemblies for a 2005 Deville (late or early production)?
