Does anyone know what needs to be corrected as my 1992 Cadillac Deville's trunk light stays on and the trunk stays kind of open now. A few days ago we were washing the car, we opened the trunk after everything was done and then the mechanism that brings the trunk down just stayed up. I checked the wiring and the fuses but everything seemed o.k. Could it be the little motor that brings up and down. Someone please help as I have to carry expensive tools for work and would like to fix before someone pops it open.

 

well if ur sure ur getting power all the way to the littiel electic lacth may be the micro switch is bad you may by able to fix this if not you may need to repalce the littile trunk lacth motor.
