Default Looking for advice

Hi,
I am new to this. I have a 97 Seville with the head gasket problem. Its time for a different car, I want to stick with Cadillacs, but don't want to deal with this problem again. Want to stay under $15,000 for the price I want to pay for a car. Anyone have any suggestions? I don't know which year cads have this problem, or similar weird problems. Thanks for your help.
Bill

You can go with any Cadillac made after 2000. For the 2000 Model Year, in addition to redesigning the exteriors of their cars, the Northstars had a redesign - no more 93 Octane *unless* you live in a mountainous area or tow. They did some more updates to the 2004-2012 Northstars also. I have a 2002 Deville with about 96000 miles, and no engine issues. Just be aware that 2000-2003 (not sure about 2004-2012) Northstars burn a quart of oil around 1000 miles, so finding a dry oil pan at 3500 miles is normal.

Anyway, you can buy many 2005 Cadillacs with under 100000 miles for less than $15000.

Thank you for your help, any ideas on which models or engines have the best fuel economy?
