Hows it goin everybody..Just introducing myself..Im a former owner of 83' fleetwood and 89 deville..I just want some opinions on my next Caddy..I cant decide on a 90' fleetwood old body 5.0 carburator or 93-95 fuel injection..Any extra info to help me decide !!Thanks

the Cadillac choices are huge and tastes can go from the wild to the sedated.

 

I dont like to abuse my cars ..I dont think I rev.my cars past2500rpm unless is an emergency..PPL sayim aold lady driver in some sense..I like to take care of any problem within thefirst couple days it appears even minor ones..I wanta fleetwoodagain but if I could finda good deville94-99 I settle too...

 

90-92 Fleetwood with 5.0 will be a little short on power,only down side.93 Had some one year only systems.94-96 Got LT1s no shortage of power.94-95 deville 4.9 s tend to leak,nothstars in concours same but more expensive to repair.It is a matter of preference,as far as styling. They all great cars. I myself like the pre 93 with 5.7 / 350 or better

IMO, fuel injection cars require less maint and give you more hp for the same size engine and better fuel economy.

I still dont know what you might use the car for.

City, hwy? comfort is a issue.
parking in streets or parking lots? size is an issue
kids? size.
dating? luxury
travel? comfort
live in the mountains? power.
safety concerns? size and weight DOES matter.
The Jones? color matters, wheels matter.
drive fast? color DOES matter .. arrest me RED is only 2nd to YELLOW, Black, light blue, and gray are Stealths.

My #1 is SAFETY .. i go for size and weight. this is the cheapest insurance I can buy. When the dust settles and they sweep up the pieces of the jelly beaner, I like to drive home unscratched.

My #2 is enough power .. not excessive, just enough for the purpose intended.
after that comes color, comfort, luxury, and sound..
