I have a 1976 Cadillac Eldo with 500ci, 4bbl. carb. Normally when I go to start it, when I turn the key to on, I hear a ticking sound, then turn the engine over and it starts. Today when I started it, I heard the ticking sound, but it never stopped, like it normally does. Sounds like it is coming from the carb area, but not sure. Any ideas?

 

Do you have an isc on that car??(idle speed control)
