Default Slight Ticking Noise on 2000 DTS

Hello:

I own a 2000 Cadillac Deville DTS. I've been heraring a slight ticking noise generally when I start the car in the morning or after it has been sitting for a period of time. I only hear it while the car is idling. Once I accelerate, I don't hear it. Again, I only notice after first statrting the car. After I've driven it for a few minutes I can place it in park and let it idle and don't hear the noise anymore. I know that this particular vehicle is known for burning oil so I try to keep checks on the oil level between changes. This is not a new problem but I wanted to see if I could get some idea as to what the problem may be.

Thanks...
