Default sunroof switch panel?

I want to remove the panel above the inside rear view mirror that houses the map lihts and sunroof switch to install wiring for a radar detector. How do I remove this panel? It has a small 'door' that snaps out but I see nothing inside to use to remove the entire panel. Thanks in advance for the advice.

The vehicle in question is a 2007 SRX.

Plastic trim panels are usually held in place by tabs. With a flat blade tool, *gently* try to pry the trim at different places to see if it yields.

Thanks much. In this case, I think the little 1 1/4" x 2 1/2" 'door' is the key. I guess I will continue to worry it and perhaps stop by the dealership and talk with a trim technician.
