Default steering problem

i have a 1995 caddi deville that has 140,000 miles on it, i have a wobble in the front driver side that i cant figure out. i have found that the ball joints and struts are good but the steering shaft has play in it and i figured that it is the rack thats bad. i priced out a rack "with EVO" for 242.00 and one without for 189.00. does annyone know what the difference is with or without EVO? and has annyone had this problem before, anny help or feedback would be greatfully appreciated. thanks Vic.

If car is a deVille and not a Concours (Northstar) it is most likely non EVO. Evo will has electrical connector on pump or area of rack that steering column.
