Starting issue on 90 deville

HOW DID YOU JUMP THE SWITCH?im having the same problem.

Under the dash there is a yellow wire coming from the ignition. If you trace that it goes to a relay and from the relay it goes to the security box. At the relay I jumped it to the other yellow line with a fuse in the middle bypassing the security box. That should give you power to your transmission switch which goes to your starter.

thanks for the help.i just ran a switch to the starter to bypass the whole thing.runs great and starts everytime.

Yea Dad did that as well and in the process they ruined the Park/Neutral switch. after a while that stopped work plus I had to pay over $100 for new switch. Congrats for figuring it out though:-)
