Passenger power door lock malfunction
It's a '94 SLS, when I got it I thought it was just a bad actuator or the linkage fell apart, but upon tinkering with it I could feel it trying to move the manual lock a little. I shot a bunch of WD40 in there and freed things up a little. Presto, it began working. Until my wife tried opening the door at the same moment I put it in Park and it of course didn't unlock, won't even try to move the lock anymore. This may be related: The key won't turn the outside lock on that door either. It worked a few times, but after I shot it with WD40, it acts like the key is bad, won't turn at all. It worked a few times before I started trying to fix it.
I suppose I'll have to pull the door panel and maybe replace the key lock tumbler or whatever in that door. Maybe I'll be able to see what's slipping when I'm in there. Any experience with this?
