thanks a lot, since i warm up the car for like 2 minutes now and my avrg MPG were at high 8's , 9's its went up to 10's - 10.5's. lol its still bad but better, alrite for cold weather and all city driving i guess.
Two minutes? Only takes me 20 seconds to get the seat belts on.
you did check the tire pressure. right?
you got a clean air filter? how about a K&N filter?
you arent running 50w oil, are you?

Where are you? in Upstate NY, it gets so cold that some trucks partially cover the radiator
to allow the engine to stay warmer while driving in freezing temps.

no, i'm in chicago. i think my tires may be a little under the pressure they are supposed to be at, then again i'm not sure what pressure they have to be at. can a WOT help anything if it hasn't been done before ?

a WOT is not going to help fuel consumption.

dont know, but underinflated tires will get you LESS traction in icy roads.

Probably and additionally your tires will not last as long when under inflated.

Well thanks a lot for the replys, I just pumped my tires up today to 44-45 psi and I'm getting about 2 MPG maybe a little more. They were all different between 24-40 psi. The only bad thing is now that you feel more bumps and it doesn't ride as smooth, but definately helped my MPGs. Thanks

You could probably go down to 40 lbs without sacraficing mpg and get a little bit of a smoother ride.
As you have seen, it's okay to experiment.
Good luck.
