Default Ignition Problem

2000 Caddy Deville DTS[:@], I am through with these cars, wnet outside to get in the car , placed the key in the ignition, ignition wont turn at all, looks as if something is broke when i look through the key hole, I can replace the ignition, but I cant get the ignition to turn to the on position so that I can release the lock release and pull the ignition switch out. Does anyone know how to get the lock cylinder out in this situation. Thanks

You will need to estimate where retaining pin is and drill housing. If you are too far off, you have to replace housing. You could play with key and hope it turns. Make sure key your using opens door.

Do you have AAA ?
They will pay for the 1st $100 if you have their towing service.
