Default Help with timing belt mishap!

Working on a friends CTS. Her timing belt broke on the freeway she states she pulled over immediately. We got it apart the belt was shredded! Replaced the belt. Followed timing specs lined all the lines up it's not rocket science. Went to check compression to see if there are any bent valves and no compression. None of the cylinders the needle doesn't even budge! We thought it was the tester. Got a new tester same thing. Re did the timing it was perfect. Charged the battery it sounded like it was cranking slow. Nothing. I'm trying to save myself the work and money for pulling the heads but I'm running out of options. Can anyone think of something I'm missing?

Unfortunately your will likely need engine. engine has atleast bent valves, Your may find used engine for less than the cost of repairing original.
