My ex took my battery & unhooked whatever rig job he did. He refuses to tell me how to fix it. I don't have the money to go to a mechanic. I only paid $2500 for the car almost a year ago.

Somehow he bypassed something so that "engine power reduced" message completely went away. I have a new battery & the car starts but there isn't any power & that message is popping up. There's 2 wires. I was told just a blue electrical wire that he took from something else. One is like melted to a fat, round looking wire & the other is connected to something in the engine? I was told they are both grounded. Both have power to them. I seen sparks & some smoking. 3 guys have tried with no clue or luck.

This car is my livelihood. I've missed work over this.

Can anyone offer any suggestions? Please?

 

The blue wire is not factory. Leave it disconnected and hook the battery back up. Then tell us what happens.
