Question gas gauge

I did not get a reading on my gas gauge, was told I had to replace the sensor on the fuel pump, bought a new fuel pump and had it changed and still the same problem. It just stays on full tank almost all the time.

when u start the car does the gas gauge cycle from empty to full or vs versus
what u need to do is go in the trunk lift up the mat
unplug the fuel pump look at the gas gauge see if it moves up or down
sometimes when they put the new one in it can get stuck in the wrong position

if u have the old one i would plug it in and lift the float up and down and see if the gauge moves
if it does not move

look at the wires for broken wire give it a little tug
u will find it
the purple wire and black with white strip is the fuel gauge control
well the gray and solid black is the fuel pump so the other 2 is the sensor

Default gas gauge

It does cycle from full to empty then to full again. It did move after about 150 miles. When I had used 15 gallons it only read a little less than 1/2.

u really need to test the unit
take it out of tank lift it up and down and watch the gauge see if it moves
easiest and best way to test it for u
but if u have a spare one plug it in and try it or old one
we need to know if it wire
sensor
or gauge
