Digital to Analog Converter in Cue System
Wondering if anyone knows the specs of the DAC used in the Cue Infotainment System? I have a 2018 CT6 with the standard Bose audio.
Context: I am using Tidal HiFi lossless streaming audio and trying to determine any compression or bottleneck that may be happening. I connect from my S10 phone to the car via USB Android Auto. I've been researching for a couple days and now know that the audio is going through USB digitally to the Cue system and somewhere on the car side is going through a Digital to Analog Converter (DAC) to play through the amp and speakers. What i can't find out is what the DAC specs are and if its capable of handling the HiFi lossless digital audio from Tidal without degradation. From my (admittedly non-audiophile) ears I hear a subtle difference if I really crank the volume compared to Spotify's "very high quality" lossy sound but not much difference at all at normal listening levels.
