CTS 04 Intermittent loss of acceleration power
Yesterday I was driving back from work and the DIC lights up and tells me (Service Vehicle Soon). I loose lots of power, and the car accelerates really slow, and takes forever to switch gears. "loss of power, but rpms still reach 4500, albeit slowly" . The car is a 2004 Cadillac CTS V6 3.6L with 34000 miles. I turned the engine off, and then restarted it, and the car worked fine, then again it acted up today. Anyone with an idea as to what the problem can be?
Thanks in advance

Thank you for answering so fast. I went to the dealer today and they replaced the throttle body, based on the code they got from the computer. That's $700 CAD!!! The second one in less than 14 months... Is there a special if you buy a six-pack?
Thank you again for your time.

The code they got is P0121. Referring to TSB05-06-04-032C, they replaced the throttle body, connector & gasket. They also charged 1 hour of labor to check the wiring harness.
I was not sure it was the same problem as last year; last year, the problem disappeared only after letting the car sit for a few hours while this time the problem would disappear as soon as I turn the engine off then back on.
Have a great day and thanks again.
