Hey all, new member here, hoping someone can shed a little light on my problem. I got into my car at the vet's today after taking my dog in and the heater would not blow. Its minus 15 here right now in Kelowna, British Columbia and I noticed pretty quickly that my heat was not working. I checked the HVAC Blower fuse and it looks brand new. Then I realized my back seat fan is working. I thought that the front and back ran off the same blower, I can even hear the blower running in the dash when the rear fan is on, but with the back off and the front turned up, nothing. Can't even hear it try to run at all. I need a front blower as its cold and without blow from the front, I also have no defrost, which is the worst as I could almost get by just running the back. Any ideas? The hvac display seems fine, has full power, the heat still heats up, just no fan, in either manual or auto mode. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is mine and my girlfriends only car and we need heat and defrost. Thanks much in advance.

No ideas eh? That sucks, oh well, thanks anyways. Guess I'll just take it in.

 

Blower is likely cause, but that is a guess. to properly diagnose you will need atleast a service manual and a DVOM.

 

The blower is now working intermitently, somedays all day, other days not at all. It just worked for the last 4 days in a row then dies again today? Is it possible that there is a bad connection somewhere or lose wire?
