Default 98 sls trunk leaking

Anybody had trouble getting water in trunk. I find water in with my spare tire. Will happen if car is just sitting in drive way. It definetly happens when it rains. I haven't really searched deep yet. I have put silicone on the cracks on each side of the upper rails. I think it helped for a while ? Not sure.

where the pillars connect with the body seems to be a weak spot on lots of cars .. maybe check that?

I have a 96 sts and have the same problem. Been doing a little research and found this http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums...m/t-34719.html

I haven't fixed it yet but working on it.

My '95 D-Evil used to leak like a sieve...I would have a couple of gallons of water standing in the tire-well. I found that the upper weatherstripping across the deck opening was loose, and had partially filled with dirt/tree poop. This was forcing the water under the weatherstripping. I took the w-strip off, cleaned it and the deck surface well, and used a small amount of silicon inside the groove of the w-strip, then put it all back together. Been bone dry ever since.
