I see more than one type of trunk lid pull down motor/actuator for our 1995 Sedan Seville SLS

One is AC Delco 16889150 but the part is missing the upper portion where the device goes up and down shaped like a rectangular shaped thing and a toggle button that goes beside it.

Actually I need to know if the upper portion attaches itself to the motor and housing because one way it is illustated without the uppor part and the other way less often illustrated is with the upper portion the pull down mechanism and the toggle button.

I could go have the mechanic do it but I already have the part and just need to know if I could detach this old part and just screw the new part to the upper portion and make it work using a basic screw driver. Or should I send the part back and just let a mechanic do the work for a hundred or more bucks?
