'95 DeVille AC Blower Problem
Hello. I'm new to this forum and need some help.
Back in June, as the weather got hot, I noticed that my '95 DeVille's auto climate control would not run the blower on high when the car had been sitting in the sun for the day. I could set the temp. at 60F, and the fan on "High", but it would run real slow. After a few weeks, the blower started to run only sporadically. It would quit for a while, then come back. Then the blowerquit completely, but the compressor still ran and the dampers functioned. When the car was moving, I got a little bit of cold air through the registers; none when I stopped.
I took it to a mechanic who diagnosed it as a failure of the AC Programmer. So, I replaced the $700 AC Programmer (didn't pay that much, though) with a new one, and everything worked fine for about 2 weeks.
Now it's doing the same thing; blower on sometimes ( a small fraction of the time) and off most of the time. The programmer iscontrolling the path of the air (when moving, I get a bit of air out of the vents on "Auto" and out of the dash on "Defog") but the blower is not running (usually).
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

RE: '95 DeVille AC Blower Problem
Hey there Bates: Have you thought of checking out the ambient sensor or the in-car sensor. Maybe the motor isn't getting the proper run signal from the sensors. You could also check out the motor grounds just to be sure you don't have a problem there.Take them apart and clean up the connection even if they appear o.k. Good luck with that.
