'94 Fleetwood HVAC

[align=left]Buenos dias amigos. im havaing a problem with my '94 fleetwood brougham. this is my first brougham and i let my roomate have his way with her. He was supposed to install an aftermarket stereo but hes never touched a cadillac before and he cut the wires thinking it was ok like on his honda. low and behold, when he cut the wires from the factory head unit (controler), theres electrical problems now. The most pressing is the hvac unit. Thats the last component that i can seem to get working. i was hoping one of you brilliant minds could explain to me why. Im thinking theres an in line fuse that was blown when he cut the hot and ground together, but thats the best idea i have.
