Default 90 Deville HVAC system... another problem

I love my cadillac, its so luxurious when i ride in it, people look and stare and recognize the greatness of it, its a CADILLAC! and you know the girls love cars that get recognized like that. But they dont like being cold! my cadi has some sort of heat problem. the heat comes out medium warm, and blows weakly. If i allow the car to sit and warm up for some time, the inside will get WARM on the 90 degree temp setting, and it gets cold inside when i begin driving as though the outside air is circulating inside the car. When it is warm air coming through I get the most airflow through the defrost vents and very small, almost un-noticable amount through the floor vents. Either way, way too cold for cleveland wheather! I recently had my system flushed, and installed a new radiator. i was thinking perhaps that some sort of door or something was blocking the air from the fan to the cabin of the car. someone please help!

Hey there LOW: You have a similar problem to the one that I had. You have to take out the glove box liner and get in behind it , you will see a black cover to the air mix chamber. Snap off this cover and you will see the air mix door and the servo motor and the circuit board. The air mix door hinge gets rusty with the condensation in the chamber and this prevents it from going fully closed or open. You can spray some WD40 or the like onto the hinge area and then work it back and forth to get it limbered up again. While in there check to see if the servo motor is doing it's thing by running the door the full travel. You could also check your heat valve which is in the engine compartment next to the fire wall. It will be hooked inline with one of the heater hoses. Hope this helps.
