Default 90 Deville A/C Clutch

I just picked up this 90 Deville and the main project on this car is to fix the a/c!
I changed out the ac***ulator, washed all the lines, evap, and condensor and dumped the oil out of the compressor but I noticed that the plug was not connected to the compressor. I hooked it back up and finished what I was doing, replacing seals and running a vacuum for about an hour and then started to add the r-134a!

After I started to add Freon into the system the compressor started to cycle and then it shut down and blew the fuse which also controlled the climate control center.

I am 95% sure that it was caused by the compressor because it was unplugged before and I never had a problem with it until I plugged it in and started adding Freon. I need to know if it is possible to change the clutch while still attached to the car or would it be better to take the thing out all together? If I take it completely out I will just replace with a remaned compressor but would rather not have to take it all apart.

Any info will be appreciated!

Clutch can be changed in or out of car. It does require special tools either way.

Thank you for your help! I will try to rent the tool from the parts store if its available and try to tackle this job either tonight or tomorrow night.
