1996 Deville Heater and A/C

1996 Deville Heater and A/C
I have a 1996 Deville when I turn on the heater the A/C compressor also come. I can set the temperture to 90 degrees and the compressor still runs, what can cause this? This didn't happen until I replace the Alternator.
