Default 1964 coupe deville overheating

Hello,

I have a 1964 coupe deville that lately has been overheating very quickly. Within 10 minutes white smoke is coming out of the pipes. Coolant resevoir is at the cold fill line before I start the car, but doesn't fluctuate when the engine warms up. Do I need to just add more coolant or is it something more serious?

Also have noticed a weird churning noise when driving the car.

Any suggestions/input would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

White smoke out tail pipes normally indicates burning coolant. blown head gasket cracked head or block I would do or have a CO test on cooling system, if CO is present top of engine needs to come apart. Thermostat and/or water pump could cause overheating but not smoking.
