Can anyone tell me how to get my driver window up? It is stuck about 3 inches down and it wont move. I think I need a new motor for the window but I am waiting on money. Until then I just want to get the window up.

 

Maybe it is the switch.Sometimes a hard slam closed will loosen things up too. Don't know what car or year but are any of the switches on the other doors interchangeable? If not you can jumper wire the switch wires to prove whether or not the motor is bad. You may also want to check the fuses to make sure the motor is getting power.

 

Could it still be a fuse if other windows are working? How do I lift up or take off the switch panel?
Its a 93 STS.

 

the switch panel should pop out.....be careful, use small flat head screw driver........ also put switch so window will go up and slam door while holding switch in up position.....as Katzmans suggested.....good luck and welcome to th Forum
