I have noticed that if all power is lost the front door locks LOCK! Does anyone NOT think that this is incredibly stupid design?
What I am looking for is a mechanical door lock release for emergencies. I have looked everywhere. The manual says nothing about an emergency release.
I am asking if anyone has any information regarding an emergency door lock release?
I'm concerned for my wife, who normally drives that car, if she were to be involved in some situation where power is lost, due to any potential cause, and she cannot get out. In a good wreck it could be on fire and she can't get out.

One of those window-punchers would be a poor alternative. Poor, because I doubt she could use it effectively.
