Default SRX CUE Screen

The touch screen (or CUE) for my 2015 Cadillac SRX with only 28k miles has been more difficult to operate for the past several months but finally completely stopped working a few days ago. Doing a quick google search showed me that this is a VERY common problem with multiple similar Cadillac models and that these CUE touch screens are faulty to say the least. I took my vehicle in the local Cadillac dealer who informed me that it was just barely out of warranty by a couple months even though the millage was still under. They confirmed that the CUE system was not operable and said while the normal replacement cost would be $1,300 due to my previous loyalty and service history through Cadillac they would offer me a discount where it would be $700 after taxes to repair. While they spun it as a good thing thats a lot of money to fix a known faulty product. The worse part is upon asking some follow up questions the dealership admitted that this was a very common problem, the CUE systems very frequently do not respond to touch after a couple years, and that the new CUE system they would be installing would not be new or improved in any way but they would just put another one in that would only have a 1 year warranty and very easily could have the exact same problem in 2 years meaning I would be in the exact same situation having to continually spend several hundred dollars every other year due to a part that has a clear fault. Prior to this I had been a proud Cadillac owner but quite frankly I feel this is TERRIBLE service from Cadillac! If this is such as faulty product why isn't there a recall or a good will repair program? I do not feel it is right to spend $700 on something that is very likely to just break again and then I will have to pay again for the exact same problem. For now I chose to not repair the CUE and instead just drive without being able to use my central console. If Cadillac can't do anything to make this situation right I'm definitely switching car brands and this is not the type of service that other luxury brands would provide! Come on Cadillac, I really want to believe that you are better than this!

Default CUE Class Action lawsuit

I see that there has been a class action lawsuit filed concerning the CUE screens. I'd like more information on how to become involved in that suit. https://www.thedrive.com/news/30029/...inment-screens
