I have a 95 Seville SLS and the other day my AC was working fine. On the way home I got a very low refridgerant message and then the AC switched to economy. I tried to push the AUTO button and then I smelled burning and smoke started to come out of my air vents. Thought I might have a problem with the blower motor so i put a new one in but it won't spin and I still have the very low refridgerant message. I checked the error codes and I have a A047 code which is very low refridgerant.

any suggections? do I have to clear the codes to get the blower motor to work? If I do have to clear codes how do i do it?

 

Appears to me to be two problems, blower and low refridgerant. Check blower fuse, it could have blown when motor burned up.

You also need to pressure and dye test the A/C system to locate the leak. Low Refridgerant means just that.
