Default problems with newly baught 94 sts

i recently baught a 94 sts. the car sat for about 7 months and when i threw a battery in it and a couple gallons of gas it fired right up! then after running for about 15 mins it started to idle funny and it died.i figured it just burnt thru the fresh gass and got to the old stuff so i went and baught 4 more gallons and put it in, wouldnt start. then there was a constant beeping and the security light was flashing i could turn it over but it sounded like no fuel was getting to it. did the security thing kill the fuel pump? after i let it sit and not touch it at all 4 about 20 mins it started up but the scurity beep was still there and it died again. any idea's? fuel pump bad? anyone know how expensive and hard it is to do one? please help i love the car it looks great next to my 96 deville

I think I would go and get a brand new battery. Once you remove the one in there the security sytem will probably be reset. A strong battery makes a big difference. I also suggest inspecting your key for damage. The security chip/pellet could be damaged and the system may be misreading it. Try another key too. Security system will disable the fuel pump. I sound like a broken record but change the fuel filter and check the air filter too. It has been sitting a long time.
