Default newly aquired sts trouble shooting

i recently baught a 94 sts. the car sat for about 7 months and when i threw a battery in it and a couple gallons of gas it fired right up! then after running for about 15 mins it started to idle funny and it died.i figured it just burnt thru the fresh gass and got to the old stuff so i went and baught 4 more gallons and put it in, wouldnt start. then there was a constant beeping and the security light was flashing i could turn it over but it sounded like no fuel was getting to it. did the security thing kill the fuel pump? after i let it sit and not touch it at all 4 about 20 mins it started up but the scurity beep was still there and it died again. any idea's? fuel pump bad? anyone know how expensive and hard it is to do one? please help i love the car it looks great next to my 96 deville. owyea the e-brake wont disengage but it did sit 4 7 months so think its just frozen? any suggestions?

Default RE: newly aquired sts trouble shooting

This is going to sound crazy but I once had a 92 Bonneville that started doing the security thing too. Turned out that key with the chip was too old and sending sketchy messages to the system. I changed to a brand new key, I had one from the dealer when the car was new, and problem was solved. Until I figured it out I was disconnecting the battery and waiting a few minutes to restart. Sometimes locking and unloocking the doors from inside the getting out and locking them then unlocking them and getting back in worked too. My mechanic told me these tips so don't laugh too hard.
