Default Trouble shooting question about Cadillac Catera

I have a 1997 Cadillac Catera. While I'm driving, the engine just shut off. I'll coast the the curb, try and re-start the car and it just crank (no inginition). After about an hour, It'll start back up with no problem and about another 1/2 mile, the engine will shut-off again. What could be the problem. What do I need to replace to correct this problem? Need help.

Put an ODB II meter on it and read the codes. Sounds like a possible crank sensor.
