Default Help! Aftrmrkt struts causing computer to think suspension is whacked!

I have a 99 STS that needs front struts. I couldn't afford the $1000 the dealer wanted for the stock electronically controlled struts, so I bought an aftermarket set of monroes and now the dash is saying "service suspension system"..."vehicle speed set not to exceed 90 mph". Is there any way to fool the computer to thinking the correct struts were installed?

Not that i know of. GM had a procedure on older caddies (92 -95 i think) but that was a different system.
The electronic suspension in an STS is truly a work of art. Its one of those things that makes that car what it is.
I know its a heafty repair bill, but thats was a $50k car you got there.

Sorry i couldn't help

When the 90 mph message displays the rear shocks are also disabled from active dampening.
