Default engine removal

I've got an overheating Northstar. No. 3 cylinder seams to be the problem. Block sealer corrected the problem on a previous Northstar I owned but this one is not responding to the sealer. With that said I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on how to remove the engine without the assistance of a commercial lift. Can I disconnect the undercarriage and lift the car off it. If so is there a posted procedure.
