Default Drivers side mirror problem

My wife clipped a garbage can which knocked out the side mirror on our 2000 Seville SLS. Nothing is broken but I got in a hurry and snapped the mirror into the housing without connecting the smaller power mirror posts. Can I just pop out the mirror again( will it snap right out w/out breaking) and if so how do I snap in the small posts and the larger center post all at once? thanks...

Is that a heated and diming mirror? I'd be careful.

I know it's a dimming mirror, not sure about heated though. There's no button for a heated mirror a heating icon on the mirror itself. It does have 2 different electrical connections attached directly to the back of the mirror. These were still connected with no damage.

Heated mirror operates when rear defroster is engaged.

Didn't know that. Learn something new everyday...so can i just pop out the mirror while being careful not to damage the wires? And if so, how do i get the smaller posts in followed by the large one?

I think you are better off to remove the mirror from the car, Three bolts and the connectors that's it. You need to remove that triangle trim piece inside first.
