Today someone decided to brake my driver side mirror glass on my 00 seville sls. Inside the black frame that hold the glass you have the glass then under that is the mirror and they are both broken. Im lookin for a replacement on the whole mirror and mirror frame. The housing is fine. for one im having trouble findin just the mirror and frame and can anyone tell me how to find out if i have the light sensitive option?? When i pulled it off i had to undo 3 wires. Thanks

 

Light sensitive option usually has an on off button on the rear view mirror and the mirror glass appears tinted when it is functioning. Dealer cost on thes emirrors is in the stratoshere. Youare better off looking to salvage yards or eBay.

 

If the "three wires" were two wires with spade lugs (connected directly to the body of the mirror) and a small two-wire cable leading out from the side, then yes, it's a dimming mirror. The wires to the mirror body are for the heat. As Katzman said, cost of such mirror is insane. If you have comprehensive or glass damage insurance, make a claim. Salvage or eBay are great buys, butnot the easiest to find quickly.
