1997 sts. 107k miles. Got stability reduced message and and and traction lights. It had code 1243 but after messing with the ground it now says 1242? Anyone know why it.would change the code. And what needs to be done to fix this?

How new or old are your brakes? If the pads are wearing into your rotors, that might be part of the problem. At least a place to start, and eliminate, if the brakes are plenty good.
