No temperature control Front

I bought this truck a couple weeks ago. I noticed when I was checking it out it didnt seem to have any temperature control on either the driver or passenger side. This didnt stop me from buying it cuase I figured it was the blend door actuators. Well after some troubleshooting I have found that it is not and after some googling I cant seem to find a good answer as to what could be my problem.
The system works great when set to 60* or 90* meaning the A/C will blow ice cubes when set to 60* and the heater will cook you when set to 90* the problem is the in between. I have tried in manual mode and auto. Both driver and passenger sides have the issue. This is my first GM vehicle so i am learning as I go. any torubleshooting suggestions or down right answers are appreciated. Thanks.
